Common questions

Do I need a USCIS account?
To track real cases, yes — the app reads your cases from your own my.uscis.gov account. To look around first, open Settings and turn on Demo mode, which fills the app with sample cases and needs no login.
Why do I have to sign in again?
USCIS sessions expire. The app keeps yours alive while it checks in the background, but if your phone is offline long enough the session lapses and you'll be asked to sign in again. Saved credentials can prefill the form, but USCIS still requires you to complete sign-in and any two-factor step yourself.
What is a "silent update"?
USCIS sometimes edits your case record without posting a new status. The app notices these and flags them, because they often come shortly before a real change.
Where do the wait-time comparisons come from?
They're aggregated from applicant-reported timelines shared in public community trackers — not from USCIS. They're a rough guide to how your case compares, not a prediction, and your case can differ for reasons the data can't see.
Are the estimated approval dates official?
No. They're arithmetic on community medians, and for visa-bulletin categories they include an estimated wait for your priority date to become current. Treat them as a rough horizon, not a promise.
Why hasn't my case updated?
The app checks in the background a few times a day; iOS decides exactly when. Pull to refresh on the Cases screen to check immediately.
How do I delete my data?
Delete the app. Everything it stores lives on your device — see the privacy policy.
